My Story: After total foot reconstruction, I was forced off my feet
for more than three months. As a teacher and otherwise active
person, I couldn't sit at home for all that time while my foot
healed. Plus, my doctor wouldn’t let me use crutches and
using the walker was so tiring for my arms.
My knee scooter gave me the freedom to move and do things
at my convenience and with great ease; I could cook, do the
wash, and all the other things I did before my surgery.
Thanks to my knee scooter, I was able to go to pool therapy,
the grocery store, the mall … just about anything I wanted to do
— and without fear of loosing my balance or getting tired.
Later, I opened my own business called Scoot About, LLC.
After more than three years in business, I now only sell and
